The Island is beautiful, with plenty of nature walking to be done. Lovund Hotel is wonderful but expensive.
If you go there to see the puffins, then do NOT go!!! We could only see them flying in the sky (which is like a dot because they are small and so far away). We were VERY disappointed in not being able to get camera close as we had researched this and understood you could. You CANNOT!!!! They were far away up a steep rocky mountain. Very sad for us as this was to be one of our highlights in Norway.
