Applications are now closed, but you can check out Lisa’s other tours here
October 1st – 7th
Wait, what?
I know, I’m surprised too. Or at least I was back in December when an email popped up in my inbox from my friend Lisa of The Wandering Lens, asking if I wanted to co-lead a tour in Lofoten with her this autumn.
Lisa has been running photography tours in amazing locations around the world for quite some time now, so when she asked if I’d like to be involved in her Lofoten tour I couldn’t type yes more quickly.
Now, while I do love photography I have nowhere near Lisa’s level of expertise, so instead I’ll be talking about something I am an expert in: blogging!
I really loved Lisa’s idea of combining a photography tour – in one of the most spectacular locations in the world, no less – with a blogging retreat. Because photography and blogging do go hand in hand. You’ll have a much easier time growing a blog with great photos, while if you want to pursue photography you’ll do a lot better with a website showcasing your work as well as a strong social media presence (oh hey, Instagram).
During our week together in Lofoten last year I learned so much about photography just watching Lisa in action, so I’m excited to see how much we can all learn from her on a trip dedicated to the subject.
And then in the evenings I’ll be sharing everything I know about blogging – from starting out to growing your blog into a full time business. And since we’re keeping this group small, I’ll be able to give everyone individualized advice. In fact, as part of the tour package you’ll also get a one-on-one Skype call with me after the trip to discuss your website. Ahh I’m so excited!
I also can’t wait to return to Lofoten in October, when the summer crowds have left and, at least in the past few years, the Northern Lights activity has been at its highest – fingers crossed for clear night skies!
Do you think I’ve used enough exclamation points yet?
Okay, okay, I’ll stop my rambling.
You can find out more about our Lofoten tour here, where you can also register to receive the full trip details and pricing information (filling out the form only expresses interest – you won’t be committing to anything yet).
^^we’ll be staying in these little red cabins again!
That’s so exciting! I’d love the chance to visit Norway, actually traveling to Sweden later this year (it’ll be my second time). I don’t have much time to cross the border, so I’ll live vicariously through you in the mean time! 😉

Sweden is lovely as well!
yayyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! I’m planning to go in November. Do you know if it’s possible to rent winter clothings in Lofoten?
Oh fun! I know some tour companies rent gear out with their activities, but I’m not sure if they’ll rent to you if you aren’t taking a tour with them. Maybe you can get in touch with them and ask.
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm………….. *sending email now*
Oh mannnnn. If I wasn’t already going to be in Greenland until Oct. 4, I would totally sign up for this!
Aah your Greenland trip is going to be so amazing though!
