As you guys know, I absolutely love to travel to new countries and tick places off my list. This is particularly true if it is a unique destination that not many people get to experience! The Americas have huge appeal for me and particularly South America – this is because it has an incredibly diverse and beautiful landscape, as well as unique cultures. Everybody that I have spoken to about South America immediately fell in love with the place and had amazing adventures (the sign of a good trip!).
Here are a few places that I am desperate to tick off my list:
Chile reaches along a huge stretch of South America’s Western edge, so geographically it is astonishingly diverse. It has desert to the north and huge glacial fields to the south, with a little bit of everything in-between! Thick forests, verdant valleys, dramatic volcanoes and inviting beaches are just a few of this country’s amazing features. There are not many places that have such vast, untouched wilderness and I love visiting anywhere like this.
The Galapagos Islands are famous for their wildlife as a result of it being isolated terrain and a lack of predators- an animal lover’s paradise! A few of the majestic creatures found here are endemic to the island, including the legendary Galapagos tortoise, the marine iguana, the tiny Galagos penguin (cute!) and the Galapagos fur seal.
There are two huge reasons that Peru is high up on my list – the Amazon and Machu Picchu. These are two of the most fascinating places on the entire planet and everybody I know who has visited found them to be utterly breathtaking. I’ve also heard that the capital city of Lima is a cool and interesting place with an impressive preserved colonial center.
Brazil sounds like a really fun place to be and I love anywhere that has a little flamboyance. It has loads of great beaches, amazing wildlife, great music and a number of attractions like the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue and the mighty Iguazu Falls (the largest waterfall system on the planet!). Not to mention the legendary Rio de Janerio – Carnival Festival looks incredible!
Pictures I’ve seen from Patagonia look unreal and more like a photoshopped image than a real place. It looks a great place for adventure and, as you know, this is an important part of any of my trips.
These are just a few of the great places that I want to visit in South America, but there are plenty more that I want to see. It is an absolutely enormous place, so you would need to think about the best way to travel too. After making many difficult treks to places, I think that indulging in luxury and living the highlife with a private jet is absolutely the way to go! Giving your legs a break and taking to the skies in style will ensure that you are raring to go upon arrival and will surely give you loads of great stories to share.
Sounds like a pretty good trip, right?
