They have volunteers who are hanging around, very fun people who organise some activities like pingpong or a campfire and hikes. This is a great place to meet new people and hang out with them since it is a very social vibe. Easy to go to Bergen city with a bus, takes about ~20 minutes.

Whilst the hostel is a moderate distance away from the city centre, the location is incredible - you get great views over the city from most of the communal rooms and outdoor spaces, and have easy access to both the cable car and walking paths up to Ulriken. The social volunteers make a huge effort to put on social and extra-curricular activities (hikes, bonfires, karaoke) so that everyone staying at the hostel gets a chance to socialise. The full-time staff are friendly, helpful, and well-informed. The communal facilities aren't brand new, but are perfectly functional. I stayed in the newer part of the building and had a good room with a clean bathroom.

I was staying at this hostel from 6 to 7 of February and then from 9 to 11 of February. The stay was just amazing. I really liked the staff as people at the reception were always so respectful, polite and helpful. The other thing is breakfast. I was eating cereal with milk and toast with chocolate with tea. I really liked it! Talking about the room, it was really clean. All the times I was there with different people however all of them were really polite. They were trying not to disturb my sleep in the morning and really understanding in the evening, when I went to sleep. And I've made some friends there too :) I have only positive emotions about this place and definitely will stay there for the third time in case I will be in Bergen.

The rooms and bathroom were very clean, beds super comfort for a hostel and not noisy unlike most of the hostels I had stayed earlier. The room had a nice view toward the city from the hillside. Free parking, which is not common in Norway. You are few minutes from the Ulriken attraction.

Best experience I've gotten in a hostel in Norway. It was so good! I especially enjoyed the free breakfast, the karaoke night and the fact that the staff invited us to join them to a party in the city center. They were beyond friendly in a sincere way, I really enjoyed my stay and made new friends :)

I travelled solo and upgraded my room to a single room with private bathroom and honestly this place exceeded my expectations! I also happened to catch a flu on the way to Bergen but the room had all I needed with a view at the mountain so no better place to recover. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with so much selection ! People at the reception and even the cleaning ladies were so kind, nice and lovely!! Fantastic location; there is a shop around the corner so you can get your essentials and the hiking trail is literally outside the door! I loved eating my lunch outside and admiring the view of nature and the city of Bergen! I also liked that there was a kitchen so you can make your own dinner and make a tea any time of the day! The room and the bathroom were super clean. Very comfortable bed to sleep on. This place has all you need and more ! I plan on coming back in the future during summer time :) oh and I also really loved the mural art work ;) really fits the vibe
